Campsite Review: Ferndale Park, NSW

Ferndale Park is located in the Upper Hunter, NSW. Situated within the foothills of the Barrington Tops, a short walk from Chichester Dam. The river is situated just off the campsite, which has rapids (safe enough for all ages). Visitors often bring blow up swimming toys and float around the river, or travel down the rapids. There are a number of great walking/hiking tracks for all experience and fitness levels around the park.

The property is about 150 hectare, and privately owned. You are able to choose anywhere to camp on the property - with approx. 50 sites available.

Cost: From $12.50 a night (pay upon arrival)
Pets: Well-behaved pets are allowed
Toilets and Showers: Yes to both
BBQ and Picnic: Neither are provided
Fishing: There are fishing spots available near Ferndale
Swimming: Ferndale is near a river you can swim in
Horse Riding: Not allowed
