Fishing Spot Review: Hervey Bay, QLD

First off, Hervey Bay is stunning! Whether you are into fishing or not, it is well worth the visit - once you arrive you'll be asking yourself, 'why haven't I been here before!?'.

There is a bunch of fish, all in the one spot. One minute you could be catching a golden trevally, then next line you could be pulling in a pink snapper! Other common fish caught include, spanish mackerel, coral trout and queenfish.

A real selling point for Hervey Bay is the Urangan Pier, which is 800m long - great for for land-based fishermem. The local marinas also offer rock fishing.

Fish Species: Selection of Southern + Northern Fish Species
